Polyester cord strapping is manufactured from extremely strong yet light weight polyester fiber. The fibers are coiled on large spools which are then guided into a loom, woven, treated and wound onto small spools. The strong pliable strapping, combined with a wire buckle, is tensioned with a variety of tools and can achieve tremendous joint efficiency. A variety of industries such as paper mills and lumber producers use woven strapping to replace steel strapping. Compared to steel strapping, which rusts and can cause injury, woven strapping is the safe alternative without having to sacrifice strength.
